Unfortunately, there was still too much snow on the ground to do any outdoor photography.  It was a real rush to get the trains lined up in the maitenance facility before they went into service for the day.  I hope to go back and shoot the trains in motion with some planes in the background.  I love doing this kind of industrial photography of planes, trains and automobiles; most photographers like big shiny stuff that moves fast.

I’m frequently asked to create architectural and real estate virtual tours .  These are a very interesting form of architectural photography. I’ve been generating these virtual tours for the Virginia real estate  industry since the mid 90′s.  My  proprietary process for creating virtual tours is complicated, but it yields a very high quality virtual tour.  Each VR tour image starts with 25 fisheye exposures which are processed through a series of 5 programs to generate a single virtual tour image.  Once merged and stitched the resulting 360 degree panoramic image can be displayed in a number of  ways: Quicktime VR, IPIX, Flash and Java are the most popular.  IPIX virtual tours are used by many real estate companies.  Below is a Quicktime VR version of the above flat image. This image is from a Virginia virtual tour  of a model home done recently for a Virginia home builder.

We are offering two packages for modeling and acting head shot photography:

HEADSHOT: A headshot is $385 for the portrait session in our Herndon Virginia Studio.  This includes changes of wardrobe as necessary to get one spectacular portrait, but it’s head and shoulders only.

COMPOSITE CARD: This $685 package includes three looks that are radically different from each other. The package is designed to be laid out as a group of photographs for a modeling comp card.  We also offer layout of the modeling comp cards for an additional $160 and can submit the  final product to Washington DC’s top modeling agencies for $80.

We also do free model testing on ocassion, so send us a JPEG image and we will keep you on file. Model testing is our way of trying out new photography techniques and equipment before we bring them out on assignment.  Model testing is play time and sometimes yields the very best photography.
